Course Requirements

Attendance Attendance will be more crucial in this class due to the structure. Since this is a clinical skills course, and you will be a member of a group, your absence will be felt.

More than one absence could be grounds for being dropped from this course.

You should give notice to the group in advance if you know you will be unable to attend a particular class.

If you are scheduled to lead a group, you are responsible for finding a substitute for that class.

There will be no class Thursday, August 19. We will likely do an online tutorial in its place.

Participation This is a workshop. Participation is a must.

Confidentiality All class members are expected to keep strict confidentiality regarding the identity of any member as well as any information that would be deemed personal.

Members may discuss their own issues without identifying personal information about anyone else in class.

Online Quizzes There will be quizzes that will eventually appear here for you to take. You will be notified when they are available. These quizzes will test your knowledge of theory and practice.

Email Notes to Instructor

This is an informal "note," preferably in the form of an email, regarding questions, concerns, and experience while acting as group therapist or group member.

The purpose of this assignment is to communicate with me regarding your experience in each role.

You will receive my notes back to you as feedback.
